CHURCH NEWS

Community Christmas Musical Play

The Community Chirstmas Musical Play, Rugged Wood and Rusty Nails, featuring both members and non-members of Peace, will be performed on December 11th & 12th at 8pm in the church sanctuary. We hope that this play will help to keep Christ in your Christmas! A free-will offering will be collected after the performance.

 

Breakfast & The Rapture Exposed

Join Pastor Barb on Saturdays from 8-10am in the church kitchen for breakfast and a book study on the book of Revelation and end times entitled, The Rapture Exposed, by Rossing.

The cost of the study is $10.00 for the book.

December 5th: Chapters 3 & 4 The Rapture Script for the Middle East/Prophesy and Apocalypse

December 12th: Chapters 5 & 6 The Journey Begins & Lamb Power

December 19th: Chapter 7 Nonviolence/Conclusion

 

Women's Bible Study

Women's Bible Study Christmas Party will be Monday, December 14th @ 7pm at the home of Carole Neubauer, 333 Dockside in Slidell. Her phone number is (985) 649-2511.

Men's Breakfast

The Men's Breakfast is held at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Slidell on the third Friday of each month @ 9am.

The next men's breakfast is Friday, December 18th.

St. Tammany Computer Club

The St. Tammany Computer Association, STCA, are holding their meetings and computer classes here at Peace.

Brown Bag Bible Study

The Brown Bag Bible Study is currently studying the book of Luke. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Barb @ 373-7214.

The group meets Thursdays from 11am to 1pm.

 

Quilting Group

The Quilting Ministry Group are "quilting" for World Relief on the second and fourth Thursday of the month from 1:00-2:30pm.

Fellowship Coffee & Donut Holes

Join us from 10:30 - 11am on Sunday mornings for coffee & conversation in the church kitchen.

 

 

 

Wednesday Volunteers Community Meal

Each Wednesday, members of the congregation and volunteers meet for dinner in our mission center. We are often in need of desserts. If you would like to help, please contact Judy Moyle at 863-7082.If you have any questions, please contact Judy Moyle at 863-7214.

 

Ministry Opportunities

Posted on the narthex Ministy Opportunity bulletin board, there are sign up sheets for assisting ministers, acolytes, lectors, altar care, ushers, clean up and laundry ministries. Please consider helping in one of these ministries.

 

Support Group Offered

 

"Where Y'at"

Where Y'at is a ministry outreach for senior citizens in need of community, especially those who have relocated in St. Tammany Parish from St. Bernard Parish. Those who have moved from St. Bernard and other parishes to St. Tammany Parish. To learn more please contact "Gloria" at 847-1288. Each month, each participant brings canned food for the needy and a one dollar donation.

Each meeting includes, food, conversation, bingo and fun!

The group meets on the fourth Monday of the month from 11:00am - 1:00pm.

PLEASE NOTE that in the month of December, 2009, the group will meet BEFORE Christmas, December 21.
